My Physical Body – An in depth Yoga Anatomy workshop
Join Yan, our doctor, radiologist and anatomy and yoga teacher trainer for an in depth explanation and exploration of the vital movement tissues of the human body.
This workshop will transform the way you view and approach your yoga practice from the moment you step onto the mat. It will point you inward towards perceiving the moment to moment happenings of the different layers of your physical body and will ultimately teach you to adopt the approach of direct awareness of the experience of your sensory somatic subtle body and allow you to more consciously direct your practice from a subtle level.
Learn what your bones and joints ultimately need in each posture. Learn how to manage and moderate neuro-muscular activation.
Learn about your fascial connective tissue casing and how to effectively open up and re-establish your energy channels.
This workshop will be a mix of pictorial anatomy presentation, concept demonstration and group exercises and work-shopping the fundamental ideas in key Yoga asanas.

Yan is a former UK doctor and radiologist, now yoga teacher, retreat facilitator and teacher trainer. 11 years in the medical field have endowed her with a deep knowledge of the form and function of the human body. She left the medical practice four years ago in search of a more holistic ways of existing, healing, sharing and affecting the lives of others. She has been practicing yoga, various martial and internal arts, self inquiry, mindfulness and meditation for over 16 years and currently lives, breathes and shares this wonderful holistic practice where ever she goes. She truly believes that Yoga, practiced in its totality is medicine for the mind body and soul.
